The Matriots is loosely based on the character from the land of Oz, Glinda.
The term Matriots came to me when I realised Patriot alluded to a patriarchal society. In Glinda's world, where she is the supreme power, the source and the reason, her community is matriarchal. The figures are all references to the beautiful free folk of the Aum Festival. Many people are finding themselves or loved ones in there somewhere, but this is purely coincidental.
